No. Van Removals strictly does not undertake any work involving assembly, dismantling, installation, or disconnection of furniture, appliances, or any other items. All items must be fully prepared and ready for loading before our arrival. This policy protects both our staff and customers and ensures jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and within the agreed time frame.

Once your booking is received, we’ll confirm it via email or text message once payment or deposit is made.

Our pricing is based on several key factors:

  • Access conditions (e.g., stairs, lifts, or long walking distances)
  • Time and date (e.g., weekend or peak-hour rates)

All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for seven (7) days unless otherwise stated.

Yes. Any waiting time beyond 15 minutes at either end of the trip may incur additional charges, billed per 15-minute interval. Additional collection or delivery stops not included in the original booking will also be charged accordingly. We always communicate these costs transparently before any extra charges are applied.

For safety and legal reasons, Van Removals will not transport:

  • Hazardous or flammable substances (e.g., gas bottles, fuel, chemicals)
  • Explosives, firearms, or ammunition
  • Illegal substances or stolen goods
  • Perishable goods or live animals
  • Jewellery, cash, or items of exceptional value exceeding £1,000 unless expressly agreed in writing

We reserve the right to refuse any item we consider unsafe or unsuitable for transport.

You can cancel your booking by email or text. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 48 hours’ notice: Full refund minus admin fees.
  • Between 24–48 hours: 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund (100% cancellation charge).

If Van Removals needs to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown, severe weather), you’ll be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund.

Yes. Van Removals holds both Public Liability and Goods in Transit insurance. This provides cover for accidental loss or damage to goods during transport, subject to policy terms and conditions. Our maximum liability is limited to the lower of:

  • The value of the damaged item(s), or
  • £1,000 per vehicle load.

Claims must be reported in writing within 48 hours of delivery.

If any damage occurs during the removal, you must notify us immediately and confirm the issue in writing within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll review the incident promptly and, where applicable, process compensation in line with our insurance policy and Terms & Conditions.

While we make every effort to meet agreed schedules, unforeseen delays such as traffic congestion, weather conditions, or road closures may occur. We’ll always communicate promptly and provide updates. However, Van Removals cannot be held liable for any financial loss or inconvenience caused by delays beyond our control.

Yes. Either you or an authorised representative must be present at both collection and delivery points to sign off and confirm that the service has been completed satisfactorily. If no one is present, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the job, and additional charges may apply.

Please inform us in advance if:

  • There are stairs, narrow hallways, or elevators at the property.
  • There are parking restrictions, permits, or pay-and-display areas.
  • Large or heavy items require special handling.

Failure to provide accurate access details may result in additional charges or delays.

Van Removals currently does not provide packing or unpacking services. Customers are responsible for ensuring items are securely packaged and ready for transport using suitable materials such as boxes, wraps, or blankets.

For insurance and safety reasons, passengers are not permitted to travel in company vehicles unless prior authorisation has been granted in writing.

If you’re not satisfied with our service, please contact us in writing within seven (7) days of your service date at [Insert Email]. We’ll investigate your complaint and respond within 10 working days. Our goal is to resolve all issues fairly and efficiently.

We fully comply with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. Your information is used only for legitimate business purposes such as booking confirmation, invoicing, and communication. We will never share or sell your data to third parties without consent, unless required by law.

Van Removals operates 7 days a week, typically between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Out-of-hours or overnight moves may be available upon request and are subject to availability and surcharge.
